Meet the Owner and CEO
Karen Gentry-Sizemore, M.Ed.
Karen’s lifelong passion for learning and teaching has been her driving force throughout her entire career. She began her career by working in the field of education in public schools, after which she transitioned into corporate training and education. She held numerous positions during her 25-year career with American Airlines, which included instruction and facilitation, curriculum/courseware design, managing large groups of training and development staff, and leading high-profile corporate training initiatives. During her career at American, she led a team of developers on a training project which won the coveted ASTD “Excellence in Practice” award. She went on to assume the position of Director of Learning for Baker Concrete Construction, a large-scale, global construction company.
Her passion for training was further strengthened when she discovered Accelerative Learning. Realizing how powerful and impactful the method is, she pursued a Master’s Degree in the methodology. For the last 18 years has served as an Accelerative Learning teacher, curriculum designer, and consultant. As the founder and CEO of Learning Elements, her business ingenuity, leadership, and management qualities have helped to grow her company, giving her the opportunity to help an array of companies in many different industries.
Karen is a Level III Accredited Trainer in Accelerative Learning, certified by the International Alliance for Accelerative Learning, the professional organization for Accelerative Learning practitioners. She delivers classes internationally and has designed Accelerative Learning curriculum for English as a second language. She is available to conduct keynote presentations and workshops for corporations, professional organizations, and school districts. She is an experienced facilitator on the topics of Leadership, Cultural Diversity, ESL, and Accelerative Learning.
When talking with Karen you will learn about her deeply held belief in the Accelerative Learning methodology as it enables her to do what she loves best – see students realize all they can accomplish, and apply what they have learned to all aspects of their lives. She enjoys travel and learning about different cultures and languages. When she is not teaching or traveling she enjoys spending time with family and friends, as well as spending time outdoors.
